We are looking for an ambitious Graduate Project Manager to join our team and begin an exciting career within the construction industry. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across high-profile projects while working closely with experienced Project Managers who will support your development into a fully-fledged Project Manager.
The Opportunity
This role offers far more than a traditional graduate position. You will be involved in projects from initial order through to final account, gaining exposure to:
- Project planning and delivery
- Commercial management
- Production scheduling
- Site coordination and management
- Client relationships
- Health & safety management
You will learn directly from experienced colleagues while building the skills needed to take ownership of your own projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of George Jackson works to the highest standards of quality and programme requirements
- Coordinating site teams and resources across multiple projects
- Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
- Reviewing client drawings and construction programmes
- Preparing George Jackson sub-programmes and identifying potential issues early
- Coordinating materials from our workshop to sites as required
- Ensuring safe working practices and maintaining high site standards
- Preparing method statements and risk assessments
- Assisting with commercial management and project reporting
- Developing the knowledge and experience needed to manage projects independently
About You
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated and ready to build a long-term career in project management.
You will ideally have:
- A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Strong mathematical and analytical ability
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
- An interest in construction, heritage, luxury projects or specialist finishes
Experience reading drawings and programmes of work would be beneficial, but not essential.
