About the Role

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and empathetic Support Worker to join our supported living team. You will work with adults who may have learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or other support requirements, helping them to live safely, confidently, and as independently as possible.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about person‑centred support and enjoys empowering individuals to develop skills, make choices, and lead fulfilling lives.

Person‑Centred Support

Some individuals may require personal care or support with sensitive tasks. We welcome applicants who can provide respectful, dignity‑focused care and build trusting relationships with people who may have specific comfort needs or communication styles.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred support in a supported living setting
• Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care where required
• Support individuals to develop independence, life skills, and confidence
• Encourage engagement in community activities, routines, and meaningful goals
• Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues, and professionals
• Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures
• Promote dignity, respect, choice, and independence at all times
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture

Essential Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to high‑quality support
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practice
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic care environment

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Experience in supported living, learning disabilities, autism, or mental health support
• Training or knowledge related to personal care, safeguarding, or health and social care
• Confidence using digital tools and care‑recording systems
