Part-Time Online Children’s Conversation Tutor

Job Summary

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable Part-Time Online Children’s Conversation Tutor to join our growing online programme.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking with children, encouraging confidence, and creating positive speaking experiences. Lessons are conversational rather than academic, and teaching materials will be provided.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging 20-minute online sessions, help children feel comfortable speaking English, and provide brief lesson feedback after each class.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 20-minute online conversation sessions with children via Zoom
• Encourage children to speak naturally and confidently
• Follow lesson materials and discussion prompts provided
• Build positive relationships with students through friendly and engaging conversations
• Provide a short written feedback report after each lesson
• Maintain a supportive and encouraging learning environment
• Adapt communication style to suit different ages, personalities, and confidence levels

Working Hours

• Flexible remote position
• Most lessons take place between 10:00am and 2:00pm (UK time)
• Tutors may choose their preferred availability
• Part-time and freelance applicants welcome

Pay

• £8 per completed 20-minute lesson
• Additional payment includes brief lesson feedback
• Regular weekly bookings available

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Native or fluent English speaker
• Excellent communication skills
• Friendly, patient, and encouraging personality
• Comfortable working with children
• Reliable internet connection and confidence using Zoom

Desirable

• Experience working with children
• Experience in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, childcare, or education
• Understanding of how to encourage shy or reluctant speakers
• Experience delivering online sessions
