Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the daily operations of our kitchen, assisting with meal preparation, food safety, and general kitchen duties. Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
• Support catering services by preparing ingredients and setting up serving areas
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
• Follow food safety procedures to ensure hygiene standards are upheld at all times
• Serve meals to customers or staff as required, ensuring a courteous and professional approach
• Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and replenishing supplies as needed
• Assist with cleaning duties including washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal
• Support chefs and other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure efficient service

Requirements

• Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety protocols
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety
• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
• A genuine interest in culinary arts and food service is advantageous
