Responsibilities

• Assisting residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
• Supporting the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
• Monitoring and recording health conditions and reporting any concerns to senior staff
• Providing companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
• Assisting with medication administration as per training and regulations
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety standards
• Using IT systems to update records, care plans, and documentation accurately
• Communicating effectively with team members, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
• Driving or accompanying clients to appointments or outings when required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
• Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving travel between locations or client visits
• Good command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication
• Basic IT skills for managing electronic records and documentation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to empathise and build rapport with residents or clients
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in providing high standards of care
