We are seeking an experienced and committed Education Sufficiency and Place Planning Officer to become part of our respected and supportive Peterborough Education Capital and place planning team.
This is a vital role in ensuring that there are sufficient and sustainable school places available for children and young people aged 0-25, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
All about our Team
The Peterborough Education Capital and place planning team, is a small but incredibly fast pace and busy team.
We lead the full lifecycle of school place planning, from identifying future demand and managing capital projects to collaborating on academy conversions.
Our team supports the commissioning and development of new education provision, leading capital projects from inception to completion, managing consultants, contractors, and stakeholders. We also play a key role in school estate improvements, particularly around sustainability, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and leading on communications and consultations.
All about You
We are seeking an individual who demonstrates exceptional communication skills, is highly organised and self motivated. You will have substantial experience working within a local authority or an education setting and possess knowledge of pupil place planning. Your approach is diligent and hard-working, consistently striving for excellence and positive outcomes for children, young people, families, and carers and you will be committed to restorative, relational and solution‑focused practice.
