Job Title: IT Technician / Computer & Mobile Repairer

Location: TEKKYS, 150 The Street, Rustington, BN16 3DA
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible shifts)

About TEKKYS

TEKKYS is a busy computer repair and sales shop based in a high-footfall location. In addition to in-store services, we also provide on-site callout support to customers.

We are looking for a hands-on, reliable, and experienced technician who can work in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality repairs and customer service.

Role Overview

This is a practical role focused on diagnosing faults and repairing computers, laptops, and mobile phones. The successful candidate will work both in-store and occasionally at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair computers, laptops, and mobile phones
• Carry out mobile repairs including screen, battery, and charging port replacement
• Install and configure operating systems
• Remove viruses and resolve software-related issues
• Upgrade systems (RAM, SSD, etc.)
• Provide support to walk-in customers
• Attend customer callouts when required
• Maintain clear and accurate repair records

Requirements

• Proven practical experience in computer and/or mobile phone repairs
• Ability to perform hardware repairs and replacements confidently
• Experience with OS installation, virus removal, and system upgrades
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible shifts

No formal degree required – practical skills and experience are essential

Working Hours

• 37.5 hours per week
• Shifts scheduled within:
• Monday to Saturday: 09:00 – 18:00
• Sunday: 10:00 – 16:00
• Flexibility required based on business needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
