Construction Project Manager job at London Full Time

Hawksmoor Construction Ltd are a rapidly growing construction company that provide a full, high end construction service to end clients and Architects/Interior Designers.

We are actively seeking a proactive, outgoing and motivated Construction Project Manager specialising in residential projects. Our projects range from renovations and refurbishments to loft conversions, extensions, basements and also new build properties.

The majority of our projects are based in Central London, however we do also cover around the M25 for larger projects. This Project Management role will mean travelling around multiple projects to work alongside Site Managers and Foremen as well as visits to our office in Hertfordshire for meetings and as per the business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s) “end to end”. Activities to include, but not be limited to, business development, sub-contractor management and site manager duties
• Ensure all aspects of health and safety are kept on all sites
• Organise labour and scheduling
• Ensure the quality of work on site is always up to the Hawksmoor high standard
• Be responsible for sourcing materials and ensuring minimal wastage on site and reporting back on material cost trends
• Liaise with clients, architects, designers and building control
• Have a thorough understanding on all aspects of residential building, from foundations to plumbing all the way to decorating
• Ensuring the project is on budget and on programme
• Keeping track of all change and cost orders
• Mutually agree payment schedules and applications for payment to the benefit of the project and the business
• Ensure project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored
• Provide timely weekly reports to the director as to progress on site
• Provide monthly management reviews
• Manage snagging on retention projects
• Manage the logistical requirements for all aspects of the projects

Key Personal Attributes/Skills:

• The ideal candidate needs to have a minimum of 10 years experience within the residential sector
• Ability to be a team player at all times
• Ability to work under pressure, while liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Flexible, with meticulous attention to detail and demanding a high-quality level from themselves and colleagues
• Exceptional communication skills, ability to influence and quickly understand business and technical concepts
• Exceptional organisational skills including ability to organise self and others
• Exceptional meeting facilitation skills
• Experience managing the hard boundaries around projects, especially timescales and project scope
• Experience of Project and Programme Management
• Good working knowledge level of MS Excel and the rest of the MS Office Suite
• Full UK Driving license is essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £65,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
