Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hard Landscaper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining outdoor landscapes, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from garden design to large-scale construction sites, contributing to the realisation of aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces. Applicants should have a passion for horticulture and construction, with a strong focus on landscape maintenance and utilisation of various tools and machinery.
Duties
- Prepare ground surfaces by excavating, levelling, and compacting soil using hand tools and power equipment such as excavators.
- Install hardscape features including patios, pathways, retaining walls, and fencing with precision and care.
- Maintain existing landscapes through pruning, planting, watering, fertilising, and pest control to promote healthy growth.
- Operate mechanical equipment including excavators and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assist with irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repairs to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas.
- Use hand tools such as spades, rakes, trowels, and power tools for various landscaping tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes whilst adhering to safety standards.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance and construction projects.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as excavators and power tools.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for gardening, horticulture, and construction tasks.
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles to support plant health and landscape aesthetics.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or plans is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good physical fitness with the capability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.

Pay: £200.00-£400.00 per day
