The post holder will be required to work closely with other members of the administrative team and clinical teams, including managers, administrators, nursing and medical staff, allied health
professionals and support workers.
The post holder will be required to liaise with a range of staff internally and externally across the Trust and with partner and external organisations.
In addition, as the most senior member of the specialty administration function, the post holder will take on delegated duties from divisional management team members.

Provide an efficient and effective administrative service to a multidisciplinary team, acting as a source of expert advice and support for trouble shooting non-routine matters or resolving initial complaints.
Responsible for monitoring waiting lists and capacity within a service, proactively acting upon issues and working with more senior managers and the clinical team to resolve them, in order to ensure access and quality targets are met for the service.
In addition the post holder will have responsibility for added key results area across (a) team management, and/or (b) service improvement and development, in accordance with the needs
of the specialty.
Team management:
Supervise and support a team of administrative staff to provide an effective, efficient and
high quality administrative service, with a focus on customer service.
Responsible for monitoring team performance information, targets and quality
measures, and embedding good working practices within the administrative team.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and change projects with the overall aim
to ensure maximum utilisation of resources and excellent patient experience.
Review performance data, trends, and processes, and using analysis and judgement to
identify and propose opportunities for development and improvement.
