We are seeking a motivated Young Carpentry Improver to join our construction team. Duties

• Assist with fabrication and assembly of timber structures and components
• Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, and screwdrivers to support carpentry tasks
• Operate power tools including drills, saws, and sanders under supervision
• Support joinery work including fitting, fixing, and finishing timber elements
• Assist with roofing tasks, including material handling and installation support
• Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely across site
• Support construction painting activities for finishing touches
• Aid with plumbing, masonry, or electrical tasks as required under supervision
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency

Experience

• No prior professional experience necessary; however, familiarity with basic hand tools or construction-related activities is advantageous
• A strong interest in carpentry, joinery, or general building trades is preferred
• Physical fitness to perform manual labour including heavy lifting and prolonged standing
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow safety procedures diligently
• Basic understanding of construction sites or previous exposure to building environments is a plus but not essential
