General Labourer job at Broughton Full Time

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Labourer to join our team, supporting a variety of construction, landscaping, and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, practical skills, and a willingness to learn. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience in all aspects of construction and general maintenance tasks within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to diverse outdoor and indoor projects. You will be working on various sites up to around an hour from base so start times may vary dependant on job location, all travel from base will be in a works vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general maintenance and various construction tasks
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and potential training for plant equipment
• Support construction activities such as digging, excavation, and site preparation using excavators and other machinery
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality
• Carry out general labouring duties including lifting, moving materials, and site clean-up
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during operations
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified deadlines

Qualifications

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or construction is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and excavators is desirable
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team is essential
• Valid personnel identification demonstrating eligibility to work in the UK
