Faculty Marketing and Communications Team
The Faculty Marketing and Communications Team shapes and implements the Faculty strategy for marketing, communications and student recruitment and operationalises this strategy. Responsibilities for the team include, but are not limited to, the areas of student recruitment, brand management, digital and internal communications, media relations, events, project and people management.
This is a 12-month fixed term role, in the first instance, beginning on 3 August 2026. This role is available for Secondment for UCL Employees.
The role is a key point of interface between the Faculty, academic departments and UCL’s central Communications and Marketing function, supporting the delivery of the Faculty’s marketing, communications and student recruitment strategy through high-quality digital content and website management.
Principal duties relate to the UCL Faculty of Arts and Humanities and include responsibilities to:
Use analytics, data insights and user testing to evaluate performance and inform continuous improvement of digital content and website development.
The role would suit a digitally focused communications professional with strong editorial skills, who can contribute to the Faculty’s content strategy, ensure best practice in digital content design and accessibility, and respond to evolving digital priorities for the Faculty and its audiences.
The post holder will support and contribute to key digital and web projects, including implementation of the Faculty’s Web Policy and digital strategy, advising colleagues on content production and website best practice, and helping deliver continuous improvements to the Faculty’s digital presence.
The role involves working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Faculty Marketing and Communications Team, academic and professional services colleagues across the Faculty and departments, and central teams such as Digital Experience, ISD and Communications and Marketing. The post holder will also engage with wider university communities of practice, contributors such as student ambassadors, and external partners where appropriate.
