The Vision
Asterclass Academy isn’t just another language school. We are a boutique London-based academy built on a simple belief: education should guide, not control.
Our mission is to help international students “bloom” by bridging British culture, academic excellence, and social confidence.
We are an early-stage startup with a clear manifesto — Excellence with Warmth — and a flagship programme, The Asteria, designed to redefine how English is experienced and expressed.
The Role
We are looking for a versatile, articulate, and thoughtful Freelance Educator to join us at an early stage.
This is not a traditional teaching role, it is an opportunity to help shape how Asterclass teaches, communicates, and grows. You will:
- Deliver small-group lessons (online and in-person)
- Lead discussion-based and experiential sessions (Asteria)
- Support learners across CEFR levels (A1–C1)
- Contribute to the development of teaching content and approach
- Support immersive and short-term programmes (e.g. summer programmes)
As a Founding Educator, you won’t just follow a script; you will help us breathe life into a curriculum that covers:
- The Asteria Series: Cultural fluency, British social etiquette, and the Art of Debate (Ages 8–17).
- General English: Guiding learners through the CEFR levels (A1–C1) with warmth and precision.
- 11+ Preparation: (Optional but highly valued) Helping young scholars master the logic and English required for UK entrance exams.
Who You Are
· The Academic Mentor: You have a strong academic background (a top-tier UK university graduate) and an appreciation for British academic culture and communication.
The Versatile Educator: You are comfortable working with both younger learners (8–12) and older students (13–17), adapting your approach with ease.
· The Startup Mindset: You are excited by the idea of building something from the ground up and contributing beyond a fixed syllabus.
· The Communicator: You are comfortable on camera, confident in guiding discussions, and believe that London itself is the best classroom in the world.

- Rate: Competitive freelance hourly rate (based on experience) with growth incentives
- Location: Hybrid (Remote online teaching + On-site filming/teaching in London)
- Start Date: Immediate / Flexible
- Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain)
