What is Ruskin College?
Ruskin College was founded in 1899 to provide education for working class adults.
Our mission is to provide the best level of education and inclusion opportunities to adults – particularly those who may be excluded or disadvantaged – and to transform the individuals concerned along with the communities, groups and societies from which they came. In 2022 the college became part of the University of West London group. At Ruskin we have students from entry level to undergraduate studying a range of subjects. This includes over 2000 students per year on our Trade Union programmes.
The Department
Ruskin College has been working closely with the Union movement for over 100 years. Our partnership continues as we are providing over 50 courses per year to over 2500 union representatives. These courses are delivered on online, blended and in person classroom-based at employer sites across London, the South East and East Anglia, but organised from Ruskin.
