Applications are invited for the post of Education Assistant To provide administrative support to the course(s) and teaching team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of education provision in the Department. To provide support for all student related activity within the Department in order to deliver an efficient experience for prospective and current students.
Working with, the Education Supervisor, Mrs Adisa Broadhurst, in providing excellent standard of administrative support from enquiry/admission stage to completion for Postgraduate students; organising Psychiatry 4 annual Psychiatry placements for year 5 Undergraduate Medical students and administrative support for visiting students in the department.
This post will help achieve the objective of cutting across department boundaries and working in conjunction with colleagues in the department of Clinical Neurosciences will help to deliver high quality support to the students undertaking their clinical placements.
The role requires close liaison with staff in the department (HoD, Business & Operations Manager, supervisors and senior staff), graduate and undergraduate students (during their attachment to Psychiatry), staff in NHS psychiatry departments at the regional teaching hospitals (i.e. senior medical staff, administration and secretarial staff) as well as departments within the University involved with the admission and teaching of students (i.e. The Clinical School, Graduate Admissions Office, Student Registry).
