Role Overview

As a UK Traffic Planner within our Key Account Department you will be responsible for overseeing the performance, service delivery, and commercial relationship of FSEW’s major customers.
This role places customer satisfaction, electric fleet optimisation, and the use of AI-driven technology at the heart of its purpose.

As part of the operational leadership team, you will ensure that every client receives seamless, sustainable, and data-driven logistics solutions that align with FSEW’s position as a leader in zero-emission and intelligent transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Relationship Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, always ensuring exceptional communication and service delivery.
• Build strong, long-term partnerships through transparency, responsiveness, and operational excellence.
• Working with the Operations Director, drive regular client reviews, providing performance data, sustainability updates, and service improvement plans.
• Anticipate customer needs, identify opportunities for innovation, and proactively address any issues or service risks.
• Represent the customer’s voice internally, influencing planning, fleet allocation, and operations decisions to meet service goals.

2. Operational Coordination & Service Excellence

• Oversee daily and strategic coordination of transport services for key customers.
• Ensure electric vehicle deployment is maximised across customer contracts, aligning routes and schedules with available charging capacity and range optimisation.
• Collaborate with the planning and transport teams to guarantee on-time delivery, efficient route management, and full compliance with customer KPIs.
• Monitor delivery performance, identify trends, and implement proactive solutions to enhance service reliability.
• Escalate and manage incidents or service failures swiftly, maintaining trust and accountability.

3. Technology & Data Insight

• Utilise AI, telematics, and digital platforms to monitor customer delivery performance, emissions, and driver efficiency.
• Produce and present data-driven performance reports and sustainability dashboards to key clients.
• Leverage AI forecasting tools to predict volume changes, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend solutions.
• Drive innovation by introducing clients to FSEW’s technology-led approach — including live tracking, electric fleet data, and automation tools.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to refine digital systems that enhance customer visibility and satisfaction.

4. Electric Fleet & Sustainability Leadership

• Champion the integration of FSEW’s electric and low-emission fleet across customer operations.
• Coordinate route planning and charging schedules to maximise zero-emission miles.
• Report to clients on carbon savings, sustainability metrics, and progress toward shared net-zero goals.
• Support FSEW’s sustainability strategy by identifying client opportunities to transition further towards green logistics.

5. Commercial & Strategic Growth

• Work with the Operations and Commercial teams to identify service growth opportunities and efficiency gains.
• Prepare and deliver customer tenders, proposals, and renewals with a focus on sustainable and technology-enabled logistics solutions.
• Ensure pricing and service levels are competitive and aligned to contract obligations.
• Support the onboarding of new strategic accounts, ensuring smooth transition and operational excellence.

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
