Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to individuals, particularly children, helping them to develop their skills and confidence in a safe and nurturing environment. Duties

• Offer one-to-one support to children, young people and adults encouraging their personal development and well-being
• Assist with daily activities, including educational tasks, social interactions, and recreational pursuits
• Implement tailored programmes that promote learning, behavioural development, and social skills
• Provide mentoring and guidance to help individuals achieve their goals
• Support children with special needs or behavioural challenges in a caring and professional manner
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support strategies
• Maintain accurate records of progress and activities in accordance with organisational policies
• Promote a positive environment that encourages participation, confidence, and independence

Skills

• Experience or interest in working with children and young people
• Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Knowledge of teaching methods suitable for diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships
• Organised with the ability to plan engaging activities effectively
• Flexibility to adapt approaches based on individual requirements
• Ability to work as part of a team whilst also demonstrating initiative when needed

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,012.32 per year
