Responsibilities

• Assist children and young people with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
• Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each child’s needs
• Engage in meaningful activities that promote social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Maintain effective communication with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency of care
• Assist with transportation and driving responsibilities as required for appointments or outings
• Keep accurate records of support provided and any observations relevant to the child’s progress
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages independence and confidence

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
• Valid driving licence and willingness to undertake driving duties as part of the role
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with children and families
• Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow specified procedures accurately
• IT literacy skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within digital systems
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children’s development and well-being
