About the Role
Children’s Home Today is looking for caring and motivated Support Staff to provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people in our residential home. You will play an important role in helping children develop confidence, independence, and positive life skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people.
* Assist with daily routines, education, activities, and appointments.
* Encourage positive behaviour and healthy relationships.
* Support children in developing independence and life skills.
* Maintain a safe and clean living environment.
* Record daily observations and complete required documentation.
* Work closely with colleagues and external professionals.
* Participate in activities, outings, and community engagement.
* Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times.
Requirements
* Experience working with children or vulnerable young people preferred.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Residential Childcare desirable.
* Caring, patient, and reliable nature.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins, evenings, and weekends.
* Enhanced DBS check required.
