Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and organisation of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Carry out general labouring duties including site clearance, material handling, and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
• Collaborate with tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction settings.
• Ability to read technical drawings or plans is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic – turns up on time and gets stuck in, without being chased.
• Able to follow instructions and also use initiative when needed.
• own transport to be able to get to and from the yard.
• CSCS card would be a bonus but not essential.

the initial 3 month contract.

0ngoing work will be made available for the right person who proves themselves in terms of attitude, reliability, and teamwork.

All candidates will complete a 1 week trial period working alongside myself. This gives both sides a chance to make sure it’s the right fit. If the required standard in terms of work quality, attitude, reliability and teamwork is not met, the role will not continue beyond this period.

Pay: £12.21-£20.69 per hour
