We’re seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a supportive SEN school in Waltham Cross. This is a key role where your work directly supports the safety, wellbeing, and smooth running of the entire school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Securing the site (opening/locking up daily)
- Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance, and general DIY tasks
- Supporting with decorating and displays
- Handling deliveries and general porter duties
- Conducting regular health & safety checks
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards both inside and outside the school
What We’re Looking For:
- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience in a caretaker or premises role (school experience preferred)
- A can-do attitude, great communication skills, and a flexible, reliable approach
- Willingness to work on a rota including evenings and occasional weekends
