The Hot Bread Shop has been a family run business for over 35 years. Starting in 1985 as a small bakery, we have slowly expanded over the years. We now provide breakfasts, filled baguettes & rolls, pastries, cakes plus much more and have big plans for the future.

The Role:

PART TIME BAKER / CATERING ASSISTANT

We are looking for a Saturday Part Time Baker / Catering Assistant.

The hours will be based around 7am-1pm every Saturday plus extra hours available Mon-Fri during the school holidays.

Hours are always subject to change depending on opening hours of the shop. Anything between 6am and 4pm.

The job will include, but not limited to, preparation and baking of all products, cleaning, working as part of a close-knit team, selling products in the shop, handling cash, assisting the manager when required, other ad hoc duties. The ideal candidate will be honest, reliable, well presented, polite, eager to learn and able and willing to work at a fast pace . Uniform will be provided.

Job Duties

• Baking products to a high standard
• Cleaning the kitchen to high standards
• Keeping accurate records relating to deliveries, temperatures, cleaning etc.
• Involved in designing and improving recipes
• Suggesting and creating new products
• Cleaning workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitised and ready for the next shift.
• Responsible for ordering stock and maintaining optimum stock levels
• Filling in for absent employees as needed to ensure smooth operation of the business
• Acting as a role model for all employees by continuously exhibiting a high level of service and attention to detail in all tasks
• Keeping day-to-day activities organised
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: paid at NMW/NLW
