Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, friendly and organised Part‑Time Medical Receptionist to join our busy GP practice team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Location: New Road Surgery, Baldwins Lane, Sarratt

Available Shifts

We have a number of shifts available – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 8am and 7.00pm.

(Flexibility to cover additional shifts during holidays or sickness is required.)

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner
• Answering telephone calls and managing appointment bookings
• Supporting clinicians and colleagues with administrative duties
• Handling patient enquiries efficiently while maintaining confidentiality
• Using clinical computer systems accurately
• Helping ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is organised, dependable and able to multitask
• Remains calm under pressure and works well as part of a team
• Has good IT skills (experience with GP systems is desirable but not essential)
• Understands the importance of confidentiality in a healthcare setting

Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare environment is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
