At Luscombe Motors, we are building something different in our flagship OMODA JAECOO showroom in Leeds.
This role is for the next generation of automotive sales people. The ones who understand that modern car retailing is about building trust, creating demand, using digital platforms properly and becoming the person customers actually want to buy from.
You will effectively run your own mini-business within our dealership, with far more autonomy and earning opportunity than a traditional dealership role.
What Makes This Role Different?
You won’t just “pass customers over” between departments.
You will:
– Handle and manage your own enquiries
– Build your own customer base
– Value and buy part exchanges
– Structure and propose your own deals
– Present and arrange finance
– Sell your own add-ons and protection products
– Use video and digital engagement to generate demand
– Become the trusted voice customers return to
Most importantly, you will be empowered to think for yourself.
We are not looking for somebody who wants to sit waiting for Auto Trader leads all day.
We are looking for somebody proactive. Somebody commercial. Somebody who sees opportunity everywhere.
The sort of person who:
– spots a customer question online and creates a video answering it
– builds relationships in owners groups and forums
– understands how modern buyers research cars
– enjoys creating content and engaging with people
– wants control over their own earnings
The Opportunity

Earnings & Rewards
For the right person, this role can comfortably exceed £80,000 per year.
Our commission structure rewards every part of the sales process, including:
– vehicle profit
– finance income
– add-on products
– trade part exchange profit
On track performers can earn up to 11% of the total deal profit.
There are very few dealerships in the UK offering this level of opportunity and empowerment.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in automotive sales is helpful, but mindset matters more.
We can teach:
– finance
– compliance
– deal structure
– product knowledge
– valuation processes
What we cannot teach is drive, energy and initiative.
This role would suit somebody who:
– is entrepreneurial
– wants more control over their income
– enjoys people and communication
– understands social media and digital engagement
– wants to build something long-term
– is commercially minded
– thrives on accountability and ownership
If your ideal sales environment is heavily managed, highly restricted and process-driven, this probably isn’t the role for you.
