Lecturer in Plumbing – Uxbridge job at Uxbridge Full Time

Full-Time | 36 Hours per Week | Permanent

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Lecturer in Plumbing to join a growing Engineering and Construction team based in Uxbridge.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced plumbing professional or qualified lecturer looking to play a key role in developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople within a modern and supportive further education environment.

The Role

You will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Plumbing programmes, including Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications, supporting learners to achieve their full potential both academically and professionally.

Working as part of a supportive curriculum team, you will contribute to lesson planning, student progress monitoring, curriculum development, and learner engagement while helping to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Plumbing programmes
* Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment materials
* Monitor learner attendance, progress, and achievement
* Support students with employability skills and career progression
* Contribute to curriculum development and course improvement
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
* Participate in quality assurance and departmental activities

Requirements

* Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or Heating (NVQ or City & Guilds Advanced Craft)
* Industry experience within Plumbing
* Teaching or training experience within the subject area
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or equivalent
* A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one

Desirable

* ACS Gas qualifications

* Unvented Hot Water Certificate
* Water Regulations qualification
* Assessor qualification (A1)
