Care Assistant Opportunities – Gainsborough Hall Care Centre

Gainsborough Hall is looking for dedicated, compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to join our team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high standards of personal care while supporting residents with their physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs through a person-centred approach. You will help promote dignity, independence, privacy, choice, and wellbeing while building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities and personal care
• Promote dignity, respect, privacy, and independence at all times
• Assist with care planning and contribute to individual support plans
• Act as a key worker for allocated residents where required
• Work as part of the care team to deliver excellent standards of care
• Prepare meals and drinks, taking into account dietary, cultural, and nutritional needs
• Use moving and handling equipment safely and correctly
• Maintain accurate and detailed care records
• Build positive and professional relationships with residents and families
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment

General Duties

• Maintain a professional appearance and wear the correct uniform
• Attend regular team meetings
• Complete in-house and external training as required
• Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role when needed

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards
• Minimum 6 months’ experience in a care, support, or service-related setting
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to high-quality care

Shift Patterns & Hours

• 8:00am – 8:00pm Day Shifts
• 8:00pm – 8:00am Night Shifts
• Weekend availability required
• 22-hour or 33-hour contracts available
