We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join the busy Blood Sciences Department at the new Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The post holder will have the opportunity to join a strong team working within a modern medical laboratory located on the outskirts of Dumfries. Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary is a state-of-the-art general hospital opened in December 2017.
Previous experience within a laboratory environment would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will be expected to complete the Health Care Support Workers portfolio as per Scottish Government requirements and, depending on their qualifications, may also be required to complete the IBMS Level 1 portfolio.
The post will require the individual to work between 8am and 8pm and some weekends.
Interview will be held in-person as interview includes practical elements. This will be held at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
