About the role:

This is a hands-on, varied role at the heart of our clinical operations. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to support patients through what can be one of the most significant journeys of their lives, providing both practical and emotional support throughout their treatment.

Job specification:

• Assist patients before, during and after procedures including egg collections, embryo transfers, IUI and PESA/TESA
• Scrub in and circulate in the operating theatre
• Prepare and maintain theatre and scan rooms, ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use
• Perform phlebotomy, including collecting, labelling and transporting blood and urine samples
• Take basic observations including blood pressure, pulse and BMI
• Welcome and prepare patients for consultations and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and support clinic list management
• Manage linen, scrubs and patient gowns
• Monitor and manage consumables stock levels with monthly stock takes
• Handle all patient information in line with GDPR and data protection policies

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1 year experience in a healthcare, ideally within a fertility environment
• 1 year Phlebotomy experience
• 1 year experience as a healthcare assistant
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Reliable team player with the ability to work closely within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to infection control and patient safety
• Flexibility to work a weekend rota
