We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s Acute & Diagnostic Administration Team as a Clerical Officer within the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit.
This is a fixed term contract until 07/02/2027.
You will work, covering a variety of shifts including day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. This will be a rolling 4-week rota, therefore a flexible approach to hours and shift patterns is essential.
About the Role
As a Clerical Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Emergency Department and Clinical Assessment Unit by:
Providing clerical and administrative support across both departments.
Receiving and registering patients promptly and accurately.
Working closely with medical and nursing teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
You will be supported by colleagues, the Team Leader, Administration Services Coordinator, and Administration Services Manager.

Additional Information
This post requires full PVG Clearance.
A&E Reception operates 7 days per week therefore flexibility is essential days / night shifts
Comprehensive on the job training and ongoing support will be provided as part of the role.
