Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Duties

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support individuals with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety at all times
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
• Follow care plans accurately to meet each resident’s individual needs
• Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure holistic care delivery
• Support residents’ emotional well-being through empathetic interaction and companionship
• Assist with light domestic duties within the care environment to promote a clean and safe space

Skills

• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required
• Strong organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
• IT proficiency for record keeping and documentation purposes
• Valid driving licence is essential for home care roles involving travel between locations
• Experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the sector
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
