The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and Sage 50 Payroll is essential.
• Oversee the organisation’s bookkeeping processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain organised records of all financial documents and transactions for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Support the implementation of new accounting systems or updates to existing software to improve efficiency.
• Provide detailed financial reports to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Dealing with bad debt accounts, including disposal of goods where required (e.g. eBay sales)

Experience

• Proven experience in financial management or accounting roles
• Demonstrable proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Sage 50 Payroll or equivalent systems.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and overall financial operations.
• Experience working with multiple accounting platforms is preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Previous experience in preparing detailed financial reports for management review is advantageous.
