Finance Officer – Accounts Payable (Part-Time) job at London Full Time

Role Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Finance Officer – Accounts Payable to join the Finance team at Nightingale Hammerson. This role plays an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made in a timely manner.

Working as part of a wider Finance team and reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, responding to supplier queries and supporting colleagues across the organisation with purchasing processes and financial systems.

The role requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to build effective working relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts payable or purchase ledger experience who is looking to work in a supportive and values-driven organisation that is committed to providing outstanding care to older people.

Person Specification

• Experience working in an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger role
• Experience processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Experience reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
• Experience working with finance systems such as Aqilla or similar accounting software
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A proactive and positive approach with a strong customer service mindset
• Desirable: AAT qualification or studying towards AAT
• Desirable: Experience working within the charity, healthcare or care sector
• Cultural sensitivity towards Jewish traditions and community values
