Cyber Underwriter job at City of London Full Time

Avencia are currently partnering with a leading international insurer to hire a Cyber Underwriter into their growing London team.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business making significant investment into its Cyber platform, with ambitious growth plans across the US wholesale market. The role will focus predominantly on underwriting US Cyber risks across both new business and renewals.

The position offers strong exposure to primary Cyber business, alongside some delegated authority and line slip exposure, within a collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Underwriting new business and renewal Cyber risks within the US wholesale market
• Developing and managing broker relationships across the London Market
• Assessing complex Cyber exposures and contributing to portfolio growth
• Supporting the continued expansion of the Cyber platform

Skills & experience

• 3-5 years’ Cyber underwriting experience
• Exposure to US wholesale Cyber business
• Strong technical underwriting capability and commercial awareness
• Broker-facing experience within the London Market
• A collaborative and growth-oriented mindset

Strong Assistant Underwriters looking to step up into an Underwriter position will also be considered where they have gained meaningful underwriting exposure.
