Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods promptly and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and effective communication to ensure customer satisfaction. The Courier will play a vital part in maintaining our company’s reputation for timely and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption.
• Deliver packages to various locations within the scheduled timeframe, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays.
• Assist with warehouse duties such as stock organisation and heavy lifting when required.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including signatures and relevant documentation.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a solid understanding of commercial driving practices. (Preferred but not necessary as training will be provided)
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when handling parcels or equipment.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.

Pay: £500.00-£1,200.00 per week
