Job Overview

The educator will deliver high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment for the City & Guilds Business Administration qualification. The role focuses on supporting learners in achieving their qualification, developing workplace skills, and progressing into employment or further study.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

• Plan and deliver engaging sessions for Business Administration.
• Differentiate teaching to meet diverse learner needs, including SEND and ESOL learners.
• Use a range of teaching methods, digital tools, and real‑world examples to support learning.
• Provide constructive feedback to help learners progress.

Assessment & Exam Preparation

• Prepare learners for assessments using the online platform, Evolve.
• Support learners with online practice papers and assessments.
• Mark work in line with awarding‑body standards and internal quality assurance processes.
• Use examiner reports to identify common pitfalls and improve delivery.

Administration & Compliance

• Record and manage results through the City & Guilds Walled Garden.
• Ensure timely claiming of certificates and accurate learner records.
• Maintain compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, and centre policies.
• Contribute to internal quality assurance and standardisation meetings.

Learner Support

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support where needed.
• Track learner progress and set individual learning plans if required.
• Signpost learners to City & Guilds online resources, including videos and study materials.
• Encourage learner confidence, resilience, and employability skills.

Professional Development & Collaboration

• Engage in CPD, including virtual events, webinars, and networking opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and support staff.
• Attend training sessions, including meetings with City & Guilds specialists.

Education and Qualification

Essential:

Educated to GCSE level 6 and above in English and Maths

Desired:

• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training).
• Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1).
• Strong understanding of City & Guilds assessment requirements.

Knowledge

Essential:

• Confident using digital learning platforms and online assessment tools.

Desired:

• Knowledge of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching.

Skills

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and support staff.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and learner‑support skills.

Experience

Essential:

• Experience teaching and assessing diverse groups of learners.

· Experience of supporting apprenticeships or work‑based learning
