KAVA Local Coffee is a new specialty coffee shop at Waterloo Station in central London.
Our vision is simple – to create a welcoming coffee space where great coffee, fresh bakes and genuine hospitality come together.
We believe that a great café experience is not only about the coffee itself, but also about the people who make it and the atmosphere they create every day.
We are currently building our team, and we are looking for passionate people who want to grow with us and help create something special.

The Role
As a Barista / Front of House team member, you will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming experience for every guest.
You will prepare high-quality coffee, maintain high service standards, and help create an environment where customers feel welcome and want to return.
Working in a busy location like Waterloo Station, the role requires energy, organisation, and a positive attitude.

Positions Available
Full-time: 40 hours per week
Part-time: 25-30 hours per week
Location: Waterloo Station, London
Pay: starting from £13.5 per hour, depending on experience.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare high-quality specialty coffee drinks
- Provide warm and friendly service to every guest
- Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere in the café
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Prepare simple food items and assist with light food preparation (such as assembling sandwiches and preparing items for display)
- Serve and sell food items alongside drinks
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Assist customers with menu questions and product recommendations
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service

Equipment & Training
Our coffee shop has the best equipment. Such as Synesso coffee machine with pumps, latest grinders Mahlkonig, Freepour Batch and Juggler milk dispenser by Six Simple Machines, Poursteady PS2 etc.
All team members will receive coffee training and education at the Scenery Roastery, giving you the opportunity to develop strong coffee knowledge and improve your barista skills.
