Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Assistant to support the Commercial Director in the operation of the Sales function within our company. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable experience in a commercial and project environment within the Garden Design and Landscaping industry. The successful candidate will assist the Commercial Director with the duties of the Sales and Quoting function, carrying out estimating and product sourcing tasks and ensuring timely responses are provided to our clients. A strong commitment to professionalism and a proactive attitude are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Creation of individual costing sheets, using excel, for each project.
• Entering details into our quoting system software and the production of quotes.
• Responding to Client e-mails with questions relating to the sales and quoting function.
• Identifying suppliers and potential sourcing solutions for our projects.
• Participate in budget monitoring activities, focusing on quote accuracy and improvement measures.
• Provide support for the Operations functions in the handover of the projects from Sales to Operations for the building/Landscaping stage of the projects.
• Producing Performance Reports on a regular basis of the KPIs for the Sales function.
• Participating in Sales meetings with potential clients.

Experience

• A Recent graduate with a degree relevant to Costing/Estimating in the Landscaping, Construction or Land Management Industry such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
• Or a recent graduate with a degree in a Maths or an Engineering Subject and some connection with working in practical settings, such as work experience or part time employment in a building or construction firm.
• Prior experience in Landscaping or Construction work is advantageous but not essential, but the ability to think practically and understand structural and materials issues is.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of cost control principles is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
