We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Groundworker to join our construction team. This entry-level role offers valuable hands-on experience in groundworks and site preparation, providing a solid foundation for a career in civil engineering or construction. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced professionals, gaining practical skills and knowledge in various groundworks tasks. Responsibilities

• Assisting with site clearance, including removing debris and preparing the ground for construction activities
• Digging trenches, holes, and foundations using hand tools and machinery under supervision
• Assisting with the installation of kerbs, pavements, utilities and drainage systems
• Supporting the movement and organisation of materials around the site
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
• Learning to operate basic groundworking equipment safely and effectively
• Supporting senior team members with various tasks as required to ensure project progress

Qualifications

• CSCS is mandatory
• Other tickets would be beneficial
• No prior experience necessary; full training will be provided
• A keen interest in construction and groundworks
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully
• A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods
