Matix Accounts Limited provides remote accounts departments to a variety of clients – some clients have complex accounting needs and our team make sure that excellent bookkeeping leads into meaningful accounts reporting that is presented at board level – or we have regular cash flow calls with the business owners or finance directors at the businesses. We have an extremely good reputation with businesses and with accountancy firms who will use our services when they have situations where the finance function has to change at speed – we will then be unpicking some scenarios where the information may not be as expected – leading to being the discreet private detective of the accounting world.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our office based team in Knutsford. Whilst we do not prepare self assessments or do corporation tax for year end we are seeking accountants who may have experience of this area to help identify what is needed in the accounting records and what questions should be being asked by the accountant of our clients, and be able to correspond on email, phone and in meetings with our clients on these topics. We work very closely with the end of year accountants who calculate the tax and this working relationship is extremely important. Note that many of our clients have intercompany accounts – if you shiver at the word ‘intercompany’ this job may not be for you!!

What we are looking for is

• balance sheet reconciliations
• cashflows
• journals, prepayments, accruals
• produce board packs
• onboarding detective work, new clients need thorough checking
• correction of historical errors on new clients – some of which can be quite intricate
• excel skills & love of software
• all round enjoyment of a good reconciliation!
