SEN Teaching Assistant – EHCP & Complex Needs (Long-Term)

At Teaching Personnel, we work with SEN-focused primary schools where pupils with EHCPs, ASD, SEMH and complex needs require consistency, emotional regulation and skilled adult support.

This is not a general Teaching Assistant role. It is a carefully matched, long-term SEN position for educators whose skills deserve to be used properly. This role is not suitable for candidates seeking daily supply.

The role

• Supporting pupils with EHCPs and complex needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Using structured, regulation-led approaches to reduce escalation and support engagement
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
• Providing calm, consistent support that reduces pressure on classrooms and staff

Who we are looking for

We are seeking experienced SEN professionals, including:

• SEN Teaching Assistants with EHCP experience
• SEMH or ASD specialists
• Staff from specialist schools, ARPs, PRUs or complex mainstream settings
• Professionals from care, youth work or residential backgrounds with strong regulation skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
