Duties

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the pharmacy counter
• Assist customers with prescription collection, medication enquiries, and general queries
• Support pharmacy technicians with medication dispensing and stock organisation, checking in stocks and preparing medication for deliveries.
• Ensure accurate data entry of prescriptions into the pharmacy system
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy area
• Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Assist in managing inventory levels and stock replenishment
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including confidentiality and data protection procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant is essential.
• Knowledge of medication patient care principles
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team within a busy environment
• A recognised qualification or training in pharmacy support is advantageous but not essential
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends or evenings if required
