Job description
Purpose of the Job: To work as a key person as part of the team under the direction of the pre-school management team to provide safe, high quality and stimulating play experiences which meet the children’s individual needs.
- Teaching to the curricular requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- To act as a good role model and guide/scaffold children’s learning.
- Looking after the health and wellbeing of all children, including changing their nappies and supporting toileting.
- To be happy, enthusiastic, positive, and passionate.
- Help children to develop core skills in the prime areas
- Provide a safe and enabling environment for children to work in.
- Encouraging physical activities to keep children active.
- To provide equal opportunities for all.
- Support children’s mental health, fostering an environment where children find help if they need it. This may include reaching out to children, checking in, and working with other teams to prevent or solve any issues.
- Support communication and social skills to help children interact with those around them.
Required experience:
- Childcare Experience
- Relevant Qualifications and Training (Childcare Level 3)
- Paediatric First Aid
- Safeguarding Knowledge

Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Services, and the post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders act 1974.
