We are a small company looking to take on a reliable and hardworking groundworker, we have a long line of work in front of us with a good customer base.

We are seeking a dedicated Ground Worker to join our team, responsible for assisting with landscape maintenance, construction, and general site upkeep. with practical skills in using hand tools and power tools. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop mechanical knowledge and gain experience working with specialised equipment such as excavators. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to outdoor projects while enhancing their skills in maintenance and construction.

Duties

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators under supervision.
• , repair, and maintenance.
• Prepare sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and performing excavation work.
• Conduct routine maintenance of tools and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members on construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times during outdoor activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience or knowledge in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge or experience working with power tools and construction equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with excavators or irrigation systems is a plus but not essential; training will be provided.
• Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction or horticulture are desirable but not mandatory.
