Skilled Laborer job at Widnes Full Time

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Labourer to join our team.

The job will be based at a single location (Widnes) starting in April demolishing a detached house and building a brand new home from start to finish over approx. 12 months.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to perform various tasks in a construction or setting.

As a Skilled Labourer, you will be involved in hands-on work that requires both physical strength and technical skills.

Duties

• Carry out general labouring tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
• Assist tradespeople with their duties, ensuring tools and materials are readily available.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Operate machinery and tools as required, following all safety protocols.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to team meetings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a labouring role or similar position is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a construction environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Valid driver’s licence is an advantage but not essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required.
