Full job description
We are looking for a self employed and motivated individual who loves to work with dogs. Previous experience of working in the industry with groups of dogs is a requirement for this role.
The job is a part time role working in day care looking after the dogs that are booked in to daycare each day. The right candidate needs to be motivated and driven to succeed in the animal industry, with experience of working with and is confident with all sizes and breeds of dogs. This is an ideal role to fit alongside other part time work.
Day to day duties are cleaning up after the dogs, activities with the dogs (enrichment focused care), cleaning the daycare, taking photos, social media posting, supervising and managing the dogs, transporting the dogs , opening and closing daycare.
The job is amazing and rewarding but is also demanding and fast paced, it is very noisy with barking, there is a lot of cleaning up, it is not sat cuddling the dogs all day. You will need to get to know each dog individually as they all have their own temperaments and quirks.
The right candidate will need a full manual driving licence with no points or accidents in the last 3 years due to our vehicle insurance, as one of the jobs is to collect or drop the dogs off that booked in for our school bus service.
This role is ideally suited as an add on for a self employed individual already working in the dog world. Pay will increase to £13 an hour after a successful 3 month trial period.
