We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Previous restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are highly desirable. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
• Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
• Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Assist in setting up tables and clearing after service periods
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Process payments accurately using the POS system

Experience

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
• Familiarity with serving procedures, upselling techniques, and guest services enhances performance in this role
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
• Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour to engage with guests professionally
• Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions confidently
• Experience working in a kitchen or culinary environment is a plus but not mandatory
