Transport Progress Chaser – Nights job at Huntingdon Full Time NEW

Role Purpose

The Transport Progress Chaser is responsible for monitoring live transport operations to ensure all collections and deliveries are completed in line with the agreed plan, customer requirements, and KPI expectations. The role provides real‑time operational support to drivers, planners, and the operations team, ensuring compliance, visibility, and the proactive management of delays, deviations, or service risks.

Shift pattern and hours of work: 4 on 4 off 12-hour shift, 18:00 – 06:00

Key Responsibilities

• Complete daily collection sheets, ensuring all relevant operational data is accurately captured.
• Complete KPI reporting accurately and on time, in line with customer requirements and SLA agreements.
• Ensure all late-running reason codes and NCRs are raised, recorded, and captured through the appropriate process.
• Maintain and update all bookings within the TMS, ensuring accurate and reliable reporting at all times.
• Track all vehicles in real time to ensure compliance with collection sheets, route plans, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor driver activity to ensure no unauthorised stops are taken.
• Communicate directly with drivers regarding:
• Route changes
• Unauthorised stops
• Delays or deviations from the agreed plan
• Liaise closely with the Planning team to support the delivery of the plan by:
• Ensuring collection and delivery times are achieved
• Confirming route changes are communicated, understood, and adhered to
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to communicate late‑running vehicles and manage service expectations.
• Proactively escalate delays, risks, or service concerns to the Planning and Operations teams.
• Support the Operations team by providing accurate, real‑time updates to protect service levels and KPI performance.

Pay: Up to £31,740.70 per year
