Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods from our warehouse to various locations in a designated area which could be anywhere along the Moray coastline or inland as far as Tomintoul, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily responsibilities. A valid clean driving licence is essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of products.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety during transport.
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Keep vehicle clean and tidy. Vehicle may be taken home after shifts.
Requirements
- Valid clean driving licence (essential).
- A smartphone capable of using delivery app.
- Experience as a delivery driver or van driver preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers.
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A good understanding of local roads and routes is beneficial.
