Full job description
We currently run a Patient Transport Service for the NHS.
We are looking to recruit patient assistants who will be available to cover weekday and Saturday shifts (6am to 2pm & 2pm to 8pm) when they become available. We will provide all the training required to be a fully certified patient assistant.
We expect 10 – 20 hours a week to be available consistently, but hours won’t be guaranteed and the days in which these hours are available will change week to week. Shifts can also become available on short notice so an ideal applicant will be able and willing to take on extra hours on short notice.
Patient assistants will be responsible for:
- completing timely pick up / drop off of patients
- ensuring outstanding patient satisfaction onboard the vehicle
- being respectful and professional in communications with patients
- maintaining vehicles (cleaning vehicles, electric charging, reporting faults)
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- First aid training (CPR)
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
A job will only be considered offered on successful completion of an enhanced DBS check.
